Acceptable Use Policy
Dog Breed Registry · Last updated: September 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using Dog Breed Registry ("the Service"). It applies to all users and all content posted on the platform.
By using the Service, you agree to follow this policy. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent bans.
1. Registry and Pedigree Data
You must only submit pedigree and dog registration data that is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
You must not:
- Submit false, fabricated, or deliberately inaccurate pedigree records
- Register a dog under a breed it does not belong to
- Claim ownership of a dog you do not own or have no legitimate authority over
- Copy pedigree data from other registries without the right to do so
2. Marketplace Listings
Dog listings must be genuine, accurate, and legal.
You must not:
- List a dog that is not genuinely available for sale
- Misrepresent a dog's age, health, breed, registration status, or temperament
- List dogs obtained through puppy mills, mass breeding facilities, or any operation that does not meet basic animal welfare standards
- List dogs illegally — including breeds that are banned in the buyer's country, dogs without required vaccinations or documentation, or dogs below the legal age for sale
- Post scam or fraudulent listings
- Post the same dog in multiple listings simultaneously
- Charge a deposit and disappear (advance fee fraud)
Listings that generate complaints or appear fraudulent will be removed without notice. Repeat offenders will be permanently banned.
3. Litters and Breedings
You must not:
- Post litter records for dogs you do not own or have not bred
- Claim health clearances that have not been obtained
- Advertise litters from parent dogs not health-tested in accordance with the breed's recognised health scheme
