The Peruvian Hairless Dog, known as the Perro sin Pelo del Perú, is one of the oldest and most ancient breeds in the world, with a documented history in Peru spanning over 3,000 years and depictions found in pre-Inca ceramics. It is an affectionate, loyal, and somewhat reserved dog that is alert and lively with its family while being cautious around strangers. This breed was kept by ancient Peruvian civilizations as a companion and was also believed to possess medicinal and spiritual properties.
