The Grand Anglo-Français Blanc et Orange originated in France through the crossing of English Foxhounds with French orange-and-white hound breeds during the 19th century. They are vigorous, passionate, and pack-minded dogs with strong hunting instincts and a friendly, sociable nature when among familiar companions. Bred primarily as a large game hunting dog, they were developed to work in packs pursuing deer, boar, and other quarry over long distances.
