The Alaskan Husky is not a formally recognized purebred but rather a purpose-bred working dog type developed across Alaska and northern Canada by mushers over many generations. They are energetic, friendly, tireless, and highly driven working dogs bred entirely for performance and endurance rather than appearance. This dog was selectively bred for one primary purpose: pulling sleds at high speeds across long distances in sub-zero Arctic conditions.
