The Pyrenean Sheepdog, also known as the Berger des Pyrénées, is one of the oldest native breeds of France, originating in the Pyrenean mountain region along the French-Spanish border. It is an intensely energetic, clever, and enthusiastic breed with a mischievous personality and an exceptionally strong bond with its owner. The breed was developed to work alongside the Great Pyrenees, serving as an agile herder that actively moved and managed flocks of sheep across mountainous terrain.
