The Petit Bleu de Gascogne is a French scent hound originating from the Gascony region of southwestern France, developed as a smaller version of the Grand Bleu de Gascogne to pursue smaller game on foot. It is an energetic, sociable, and determined dog with an excellent nose, a melodious voice, and a tenacious hunting drive. This breed was developed to hunt hare and small game, working in packs or alone across the varied terrain of southern France.
