Swedish Lapphund

The Swedish Lapphund is one of Sweden's oldest breeds, developed by the Sami people of Lapland over thousands of years as a close companion in the harsh Arctic environment. It is a lively, friendly, and highly vocal breed that forms strong bonds with its family and tends to be alert and curious. Originally bred to herd and guard reindeer for the Sami people, it was an essential working partner in the nomadic lifestyle of northern Scandinavia.
