The Olde English Bulldogge is an American breed developed in the 1970s by David Leavitt, who sought to recreate the athletic bulldogs of 18th-century England using a blend of English Bulldog, American Bulldog, American Pit Bull Terrier, and Bullmastiff. It is a confident, loyal, and courageous breed that is also known for being friendly and devoted to its family. This breed was developed to embody the appearance and physical soundness of historical working bulldogs while eliminating the exaggerated health problems of the modern English Bulldog.
