Finnish Lapphund

One of the oldest breeds of Scandinavia, the Finnish Lapphund has ancient roots with the Sami people of Lapland in northern Finland, where it lived and worked for thousands of years. They are friendly, calm, and highly alert with a submissive and eager-to-please nature, combined with a keen intelligence and quick reflexes developed through generations of working with unpredictable reindeer. Traditionally used by the Sami people to herd reindeer across the vast arctic tundra and subarctic forests of northern Scandinavia.
