The Caucasian Shepherd Dog is an ancient breed originating from the Caucasus Mountain region, including Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan, with a history spanning thousands of years. It is a bold, fearless, and fiercely protective breed that is deeply devoted to its family but is inherently suspicious of strangers and other animals. This massive dog was developed to protect livestock and property from predators such as wolves and bears in the harsh Caucasian mountain environment.
