The Dikkulak is an ancient sighthound breed native to Central Asia, particularly associated with Uzbekistan and the surrounding regions of the former Soviet republics. It is a swift, independent, and sensitive dog with the typical reserved temperament of sighthound breeds, loyal to its owner but aloof with strangers. The breed was developed by nomadic peoples of Central Asia to hunt hare, fox, and other swift game across the open steppes and desert terrain.
