The Colombian Fino Hound, or Sabueso Fino Colombiano, is a scenthound breed native to Colombia, developed over several centuries from Spanish hounds brought to South America during the colonial period and refined through selective breeding by Colombian hunters. It is an energetic, determined, and sociable breed with an extraordinary sense of smell and a melodious, far-carrying voice used to guide hunters through dense jungle terrain. This breed was developed for tracking and hunting small to medium game, particularly rabbits, across the tropical forests and mountains of Colombia.
