The Beagle-Harrier is a French breed developed in the late 19th century by Baron Gérard, created by crossing the English Beagle and the Harrier to produce an intermediate-sized pack hound. It is an energetic, even-tempered, and sociable dog that works well in groups and shows great stamina in the field. This breed was developed for hunting hare and other small game in packs across varied French countryside terrain.
