The Chien Français Blanc et Noir is a French scenthound developed in the early 20th century, believed to descend from the Bleu de Gascogne and the Porcelaine among other French hound breeds. It is an energetic, sociable, and determined breed that works well in packs and is driven by an exceptional sense of smell. This breed was developed exclusively for hunting large game, particularly deer and boar, in the forests of France.
