Sussex Spaniel

The Sussex Spaniel is a medium-sized gundog developed in England, originally bred for flushing game in dense woodland cover. Known for its calm and gentle temperament, this breed is characterized by its affectionate and even-tempered nature, making it an excellent companion despite its sporting heritage. With a distinctive long, wavy coat and relatively low energy compared to other sporting spaniels, the Sussex Spaniel is valued for its reliability in the field and its loyal, devoted disposition at home.
