The Northern Inuit Dog is a relatively modern breed developed in the United Kingdom during the 1980s by crossing German Shepherds, Siberian Huskies, and Samoyeds with the goal of producing a wolf-like companion dog. It is a friendly, intelligent, and sometimes stubborn breed that is sociable with people but can be prone to separation anxiety. It was created purely as a companion breed intended to capture the appearance of a wolf while maintaining a manageable and domesticated temperament.
