The Campeiro Bulldog, or Buldogue Campeiro, is a Brazilian breed descended from the now-extinct Old English Bulldog brought to South America by European colonists during the 18th and 19th centuries. It is a brave, determined, and loyal dog known for its strong will, physical endurance, and calm yet assertive demeanor with its family. The breed was historically used in the cattle-raising regions of southern Brazil to control and manage livestock, particularly for handling cattle in slaughterhouses and on ranches.
