Shetland Sheepdog

The Shetland Sheepdog originated in the Shetland Islands of Scotland, where it was developed to herd sheep and ponies across the challenging terrain. This small, energetic dog is highly intelligent, responsive to training, and excels in obedience and agility competitions, though it retains a strong herding instinct and natural wariness of strangers. Known for its elegant appearance with a medium-length double coat and its devoted loyalty to family, the breed requires substantial daily exercise and mental stimulation to thrive.
