Wirehaired Vizsla

Sporting group · Hungary

The Wirehaired Vizsla was developed in Hungary in the 1930s by crossing the smooth-coated Vizsla with the German Wirehaired Pointer to create a more robust hunting dog suited to harsh conditions. It is a gentle, affectionate, and energetic breed that is highly loyal to its family and eager to please its handler. Bred as a versatile gun dog, it was designed to point, retrieve, and track game on land and in water in cold and rugged environments.
