Large Münsterländer

The Large Münsterländer originated in the Münster region of Westphalia, Germany, and was formally established as a distinct breed in the early 20th century, though its type had existed for much longer in regional hunting circles. They are versatile, loyal, and highly trainable dogs with an enthusiastic temperament and a strong desire to please their handlers. Developed as a versatile gun dog, they are skilled at pointing, tracking, and retrieving both on land and in water, making them one of Germany's premier all-around hunting breeds.
