English Shepherd

Descended from herding and farm dogs brought to America by British settlers, the English Shepherd developed primarily in the rural United States as a versatile all-purpose farm dog. They are highly intelligent, loyal, and adaptable, displaying a natural bossiness and work ethic that makes them exceptional at managing livestock. This breed was developed to herd and drive various livestock, hunt, guard the homestead, and serve as a capable farm utility dog.
