Drever

The Drever is a Swedish scenthound developed in the early 20th century, descended from the Westphalian Dachsbracke imported from Germany and selectively bred to suit Scandinavian hunting conditions. It is a tenacious, even-tempered, and determined dog with a friendly disposition and a powerful nose that keeps it focused during a hunt. The breed was developed specifically to drive deer and other large game slowly past waiting hunters in the dense forests and varied terrain of Sweden.
