Affenpinscher

The Affenpinscher originated in Germany, with records of the breed dating back to the 17th century, making it one of the oldest toy breeds in Europe. Despite its small size, it is a confident, curious, and sometimes stubborn dog with a playful, terrier-like personality and a strong sense of loyalty to its family. The breed was originally developed to hunt and kill rats and mice in homes, kitchens, and stables across central Europe.
