The Pudelpointer originated in Germany in the late 19th century, developed by Baron von Zedlitz through careful crosses between the Pudel (Poodle) and the English Pointer. It is an intelligent, eager, and versatile breed known for its strong working drive, trainability, and affectionate bond with its handler. The breed was developed as an all-around hunting dog capable of pointing, retrieving, and tracking both on land and in water.
