Schweizer Laufhund

The Schweizer Laufhund, or Swiss Hound, is one of Switzerland's oldest native breeds, with documented history dating back to the Middle Ages and possibly ancient Roman times. It is an enthusiastic, tenacious, and scent-driven dog that bonds closely with its handler but can be single-minded when on a trail. This breed was developed primarily to track and hunt game such as hare and deer across the varied Swiss terrain.
