The Biewer Terrier originated in Germany in the 1980s, developed by Werner and Gertrud Biewer from Yorkshire Terriers with a rare piebald genetic mutation. They are playful, affectionate, and charming companions with a friendly disposition toward people and other animals. Although small in stature, they were bred as companion dogs prized for their elegant tricolored silky coats and lively personalities.
