The Plummer Terrier is a relatively modern breed developed in England during the latter half of the 20th century by Dr. David Brian Plummer, who crossed several terrier and hound breeds to produce a capable working dog. It is energetic, courageous, and tenacious, with a bold personality and strong prey drive, though it can also be affectionate with its family. The breed was specifically developed for hunting rats and rabbits, designed to be a highly efficient and versatile working terrier.
