The Chukotka Sled Dog is an ancient working breed originating from the Chukchi Peninsula in the Russian Far East, developed over thousands of years by the indigenous Chukchi people and widely considered an ancestor of the modern Siberian Husky. It is a hardy, resilient, and pack-oriented breed with exceptional endurance and the ability to thrive in extreme Arctic conditions. This breed was developed to pull sleds across vast frozen tundra and assist the Chukchi people with transportation, hunting, and survival in one of the world's harshest environments.
