The Dingo is a wild or semi-domesticated canine native to Australia, believed to have arrived on the continent approximately 4,000 years ago, likely brought by seafaring peoples from Southeast Asia. It is an intelligent, curious, and highly independent animal that can form bonds with humans when socialized from a young age but retains strong wild instincts throughout its life. The Dingo was never formally developed as a working breed but was historically used by Aboriginal Australians as a hunting companion and a source of warmth during cold nights.
