Carea Leonés

The Carea Leonés is a traditional Spanish herding breed originating from the León region of northwestern Spain, where it has been used by shepherds for centuries in the Cantabrian Mountains and surrounding areas. It is an intelligent, agile, and highly trainable dog known for its tireless work ethic, alertness, and strong bond with its handler. The breed was developed to herd and manage large flocks of sheep and cattle across the mountainous and varied terrain of the León province.
