The Grand Anglo-Français Tricolore was created in France by crossing English Foxhounds with various tricolored French scent hound breeds throughout the 19th century. They are bold, enthusiastic, and highly driven hunting dogs that are affectionate with their handlers but single-minded when on the trail of game. They were purpose-built for pack hunting of large game across expansive French hunting estates, valued for their stamina, powerful nose, and resonant voice.
