The Croatian Sheepdog is an ancient breed from Croatia with written records dating back to the 14th century, believed to have been brought to the region by Croats during their migration in the 7th century. It is an energetic, alert, and intelligent dog with a strong work ethic and devoted loyalty to its handler. The breed was developed to herd and drive livestock, particularly sheep and cattle, across the varied landscapes of the Croatian countryside.
