Mountain Cur

The Mountain Cur is an American breed that developed in the Appalachian and Ozark mountain regions, brought westward by early settlers of European descent. It is a tough, tenacious, and highly driven dog that is deeply loyal to its owner and family. It was originally bred to hunt squirrel, raccoon, and bear, as well as to serve as a versatile farm and homestead working dog.
