Lagotto Romagnolo

The Lagotto Romagnolo is an ancient Italian breed originating from the Romagna region of northeastern Italy, with records dating back to the Renaissance period. They are affectionate, loyal, and highly intelligent dogs with a keen nose and strong work ethic. Originally developed as water retrievers in the marshlands of Romagna, they later became world-renowned as truffle hunters due to their extraordinary sense of smell.
