The Tenterfield Terrier is an Australian breed descended from small Fox Terriers brought to Australia by British settlers in the 19th century, gaining recognition in the late 20th century. They are spirited, energetic, and affectionate dogs that are highly intelligent and enjoy being active members of their family. This breed was originally developed to control rats and vermin in rural Australian communities and on farms.
